Nest-Egg Designs strives to provide clients with inspired creative designs that deliver measurable results against client marketing objectives. We are dedicated to operating as an in-house design resource for our clients, understanding their immediate and long term goals and acting, not just as designers, but as creative consultants who are able to guide clients away from potential pitfalls, ensure budget maintenance, and deliver creative results that make the most of design investments.

Owners:

Way back in 1992, one of the principals of Nest-Egg Designs, Michael Inguillo, decided that he would try his hand at becoming a freelance consultant. Leaving his job at a publishing company in Virginia Beach, Virginia, he packed up his bags, kissed his parents on the forehead and forged his way to the bright lights of the big city. With nary a dime in his pocket, he worked his way around the Washington, DC, scene; learning as much as possible about the Information Technology (brainiacs call this field by its initials “IT”) industry while maintaining a creative bent to his work. By 1994, he decided he would finally branch off from his regular job and start his own company: Puzzlehead Designs.

He ended up with egg on his face.

At the time, Michael had several years of advanced design experience, but needed that little something extra to really bring the whole package together.  As he was diving into the marketing and consultative aspect design services, he met Angela Bryant. This savvy and plucky designer had focused her career on using design to increase the effectiveness of marketing efforts for a broad range of clients.  This experience would open his eyes to printing, presentation, self-promotion and, ultimately, the power of brand recognition and merchandising. She was a breath of fresh air that invigorated his need to be creative. Meeting Angela was like a sign to Michael. He could only think of asking her that one big obvious question when two designers with a penchant for providing quality work meet:

Want to become superheroes?

After looking at Michael with a look of incredulousness, Angela came back with a better and much more realistic idea:

Want to start our own design business?

And thus, Nest-Egg Designs was hatched in the summer of 2001.  Together, Angela and Michael have worked to provide their clients with top notch, creative design products, while taking a consultative approach to truly understand the objectives their clients wish to achieve.
